California’s top food and wine event receives new branding, website and promotion

Flavor! Napa Valley is one of America’s most highly regarded annual food and wine festivals. It’s produced by Visit Napa Valley and is held in the heart of California’s most iconic wine region. With over 20 events, world-renowned winemakers, celebrity chefs and a stunning location, this 5-day celebration is an indulgent treat for foodies of all tastes – all while benefiting the prestigious Culinary Institute of America.

Visit Napa Valley took notice of Crowd’s work within their region and soon brought us on board for a rebranding exercise which brought a new look and feel to be used on various marketing elements including the website, emailers, brochures, program and event signage.

We introduced a striking new color palette and contemporary typographical treatment which not only provided a bold new identity for the event, but also incorporated a crafted, artisan style.

Once the branding was in place, we began planning and designing a new site for the event. We combined inspirational photography with clear usability allowing visitors to find out essential information about the event and of course to buy tickets. A temporary welcome video was also featured in the build up to the event.

We built an interactive timetable which opens up from a discreet, but clearly signposted tab. This allowed us to feature the timetable on many pages without taking screen space from other content.

The site was built with flexibility which gave the client different options for selling tickets via the EventBrite platform.

Email promotion for event marketing

Crowd also produced an email campaign in the months and weeks leading up to the event which kept potential event goers up to speed with events as well as encouraging early purchase of tickets. These mailers achieved a very good open rate, with successful and trackable conversion into ticket sales.

We are very pleased with Crowd’s approach – they have given Flavor! It’s own identity whilst capturing the essence of our region.
